CarpalAID, a Device to Treat Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Inventor Featured in LA Times

LOS ANGELES, October 3, 2017 (Newswire.com) - Glendale, California resident Joseph Nazari talked to reporter Jeff Landa about how he came to develop CarpalAID, a low-cost adhesive patch that relieves hand pain associated with carpal tunnel syndrome.

Mr. Nazari suffers from carpal tunnel syndrome on both hands which used to cause him sleepless nights. After having surgery on one hand, he decided to find an alternative method to relieve his hand pain.

Pressure on the median nerve, which runs through the carpal tunnel in the wrist, results in hand or fatigue and pain. Those whose work or hobbies include the repetitive motion of the hands and wrists are affected by carpal tunnel syndrome.

CarpalAID, a low-cost disposable plastic patch with a strip of 3M medical grade tape in the middle, works by pulling up the soft tissue of the hand, thereby releasing pressure on the median nerve. There is no medication of any kind on the patch.
