Caribbean Cruise Line Philanthropy is an important aspect of everything that Caribbean Cruise Line represents as a company. And in keeping with Caribbean Cruise Line commitment to services, they are pleased to share some information about just one of the many services Caribbean Cruise Charities is committed to in their community: Abi's Place.

Abi's Place is a 501(c) 3 non-profit school in Coral Springs, Florida that serves children ages 3-12 with mental and physical disabilities, primarily due to rare genetic disorders.
Abi's Place is a family-oriented, non-profit school for children with moderate to severe developmental disabilities. They use a functional life skills curriculum to teach our children to express themselves, interact with others, explore their environment, and perform daily living skills. Their school creates a smaller world for exceptional children in order to prepare them for the bigger world ahead.

The facility is a fun and safe learning environment that provides a one-to one child-to-adult ratio unlike any other school for children with disabilities in this area. Abi's Place offers an individualized student education that includes communication, gross and fine motor skills, school readiness, training in daily life skills, as well as rehabilitation services and comprehensive family support.

At Abi's Place, families are always encouraged to participate, observe and/or volunteer. Danielle Zimmerman, the school's founder, is a parent of a child with special needs and understands the importance of education and independence for your child. Abi's place is here for you and your child, and are eager to make a difference in your lives. They have created a school where children, regardless of the mental and physical disabilities, could Live, Laugh and Learn!

Abi's Place Mission

Our mission is to provide a safe, stimulating learning environment to medically-fragile children with moderate to severe developmental delays. Teachers, therapists, and parents collaborate to develop a personalized education plan to accommodate each child's documented needs in the following areas: language, fine motor, gross motor, social interaction, and self help skills. Each goal is addressed using research-based instructional strategies, proper equipment, and assistive technology. We pride ourselves on fostering unique social interactions, allowing children with special needs to thrive.
