Bucknum and Stout Head to Road America with Momentum

GRAND-AM Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge Series heads to Road America this weekend for seventh round of the 2011 race season.

P1 Groupe drivers Jeff Bucknum and Robert Stout will be seeking their second straight Top- 10 when the GRAND-AM Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge Series heads to Road America this weekend for seventh round of the 2011 race season. The series has never raced on the four mile permanent road course, but after finishing eighth in the Continental Tire 150 at Watkins Glen International, the duel threat in the #6 Mitchum Motorsports Camaro GS.R can feel all of the momentum and good fortune heading their way.

"I'm really looking forward to this weekend." Stout said "We came out of Watkins Glen with strong finishes and I think Road America will suit the Camaro's perfectly! I've raced here twice before and both of which took place in the rain. I can't wait to get out there and race with how competitive this GS field is."

Entering Road America Bucknum is currently in 21st in Driver Championship Points, and Stout is vying for the MESCO Rookie of the Year Points Championship, and he currently sits in third in GS Class. Mitchum Motorsports is currently 13th in Team Championship Points for the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge Series.

Bucknum states; "I'm really happy with how this season is shaping up. The car is very strong, Roberts' development over the season has been great, and the team has worked very hard to give us the equipment to drive to the front of the field. I believe the first win for the Camaro is right around the corner."

The Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge Series will tackle Road America on June 24th and will be aired on SPEED Channel on July 3rd at 1pm. All Times Eastern.
