Broadway Babies Creative Group Announces the Launching of Three New NYC Musicals

The initial barrage of original musical offerings include
"Saturday Night Specials", "Wildworld:The Basement Monologues" and "A Gathering of Fools" all with book and lyrics by A. Michael Storm. The Broadway Babies Creative Group (BBCG) also has plans to launch a play with music and at least one standard play offering. Details to be released soon. BBCG boasts an impressive development project known as Rainbow Revivals/Pretty Play Things Partners, which includes twelve other theater projects, including original musicals, adaptations and revivals, original plays and reworked classics.
A.M.Storm Productions was founded by A. Michael Storm a retired chef who after 45 years decided to return to his first love, theater. In 1970 Storm began his career in the music business as a songwriter and a ghost writer for lyrics. Originally from Nashville Tennessee he wrote his first song at age 5 years old. He was so successful as a ghost lyricist that he earned the nickname "Lyric Wizard" from his peers. He also worked for The "Johnny Cash Show" and for the TV show "Hee Haw". Mr. Storm is a member of ASCAP (as Andrew Bates Duke). He has over 120 songs registered with ASCAP and is also a member of the International Alliance of Composers. In 1974 he founded "Scorpion Records". He appeared in the Movies, "Nashville" (Robert Altman) and "W. W. And The Dixie Dance Kings" featuring (Burt Reynolds).
Mr Storm met Producer/Writer/Director/Actor Emmitt Thrower at ArtistMagnet.com an International Theater Networking website for which Emmitt Thrower is the COO. They are co-producing several other projects together including a documentary film for PBS on child abuse based on the book "The Razor and the Mirror" By author Christian-Michelle Dickerson. They also are partnering on other projects with BBCG and various creative partners. Several of the projects between the innovative producing duo are scheduled to be announced shortly.
Emmitt H Thrower is a retired NYC Police Officer, the COO of Artist Magnet LLC and the Founder/President of Wabi Sabi Productions Inc a New York based 501 (c) 3 Not for profit corporation created in 2005. Wabi Sabi Productions Inc. produces live events, theater and video/films dealing with social, political and health issues. The company also sponsors Artist Magnet Radio the International Internet entertainment and talk show for artistmagnet.com for which he also acts as the host of the popular weekly show. Mr Thrower and Mr Storm became part of the BBCG because of their passion for theater and the creative arts. These announced projects are the first in a series of many unique ventures for which they will produce together with Broadway Babies Creative Group. Much more is on the way.
The three Musicals in this initial release are "Saturday Night Specials" about a group of diverse troubled teens thrown into a special Saturday Night experimental program under the control of a young inexperienced priest who tries to turn their lives around. Slated for development then an off Broadway run. "Wildworld: The Basement Monologues" is a sung-thru musical about teens growing up in an adult dominated society. They meet in the basement of a friends house regularly to escape into their own private world of cliques and teen drama while searching for acceptance. Slated for development then an initial off Broadway run. A Gathering of Fools is a bountiful musical teen extravaganza that explodes onstage that is slated for a regional theater run and then a move to Broadway.
A radio readings of "Saturday Night Specials" is currently being cast and scheduled to be broadcast worldwide on Artist Magnet Radio in the upcoming 3-4 weeks. A live staged reading is to follow shortly after that in late October 2009.
