Birthright Israel Free Trips Summer 2012 Registration Opens February 15th
Online registration for Summer 2012 free trips to Israel will start on February 15th 10:00 AM EST at gokesher.org
Online, February 13, 2012 (Newswire.com) - URJ Kesher is a part of the Reform Movement and provides Birthright Israel experience through free 10-days tours to Israel open to Jewish young people aged 18-26 and who have never been to Israel on a peer program.
Taglit-Birthright Israel was launched in 1999 as a non-profit foundation whose purpose is to enable young adults to visit Israel at least once in their lifetime. To date, over 200,000 Jewish young adults from around the world have come to Israel under the Taglit-Birthright Israel initiative.
URJ Kesher official website gokesher.org will start accepting online registeration for Summer 2012 trips on February 15th for new applicants and on February 14th for returning applicants.
Avi Green, President of URJ Kesher, tells, "According to Birthright Israel rules, we can not post actual trip dates before the start of registration on February 15th. However we can say that Young Judaea will be offering many trips throughout May, June, July and August because Taglit-Birthright Israel is hoping to fund a record number of trips this coming summer.
Actual registration opens at 10am EST. No matter at all what time of day a person signs-up, so long as registration is completed on February 15th, but it usually closes soon after it opens. Signing-up on time at gokesher.org is critical. As part of the registration, a person will be asked to submit a $250 fully refundable trip deposit and select a preferred month of travel and preferred trip type.
This coming Summer Birthright Israel is expecting to substantially increase in the number of available trips. According to Birthright Israel rules, actual Summer 2012 trip dates cannot be posted in advance. An applicant must complete the Primary Application first, and then will be able to view and choose actual trip dates within a week on the Secondary Application.
Avi Green concludes, "To learn more about the registration process and sign-up for registration updates please visit http://www.gokesher.org where everyone can list any friends or family members to be included on the trip update list as well."
