Big John Products President Stresses Need For Taking Preventive Measures as Key To Home And Workplace Safety
Online, April 16, 2013 (Newswire.com) - Noting that many types of accidents and injuries in the home and workplace can be prevented or quickly treated to avoid greater harm, Scott R. Kramer, President of Big John Products, Inc. stressed today that proper awareness, planning and preparation can be vital to protecting the health and safety of individuals. This is particularly true, he added, for those most in need of assistance such as seniors, children and the physically impaired.
Kramer is the co-founder of Big John Products, a Los Angeles, CA-based company that was specifically founded to meet such concerns by creating, manufacturing and distributing products
primarily designed for health, safety, protection and in some instances, to provide comfort to those with physical afflictions. Several of its products have patents and are unique in the marketplace.
Commenting on the company's mission, he remarked: "We sought to identify potential health hazards where people live and work that could either be prevented or quickly treated with a specific type of product. Once we determined the need, we created the product. We're pleased with our efforts to date, but there are many more products on the 'drawing board' that we need to get into production."
Indicative of the acceptance of the company's products, Kramer reported that they are being used by a wide variety of public and private sector entities, including: U.S. Air Force, Salvation Army, Mayo Clinic, University of Southern California, State Farm Insurance Company, U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs and Salt Lake City International Airport. Among the company's products are:
• Toilet Support - Prevents wall-hung toilets from breaking under excess weight by raising the standard weight load from 300 pounds to over 1,000 pounds.
• Toilet Seats - Provides more surface area, higher rise, greater weight capacity, and more stability.
• Heimlich Helper - A lightweight device which can be hung on a wall that a choking victim can use to self-administer abdominal thrusts to extricate food items causing choking.
• Window Wedgie - A product that can prevent an individual from falling out a window or even a sliding glass door by restricting how far they can open.
Kramer pointed out that the toilet support is invaluable for commercial use, the toilet seats for large
and overweight people and the disabled and the Window Wedgie and Heimlich Helper can be critical for children and seniors.
