LOS ANGELES, November 16, 2018 (Newswire.com) - Bel Air Church (a.k.a. Bel Air Presbyterian Church), will be packing 1,000 Thanksgiving meal boxes that each feed 10 people. For over 30 years, the congregation has come together to pack and gift food baskets for struggling families and individuals throughout the Los Angeles area. Our city is hurting right now, especially with the wildfires and tragedies this past week. We are coming together do this small act alongside our partners to support the families in LA in a tangible way this Thanksgiving. We've seen beautiful acts of kindness and selflessness in the past week. We are so proud of this city and the people we are called to serve alongside.
Drew Sams, Senior Pastor
Led by Senior Pastor, Rev. Dr. Drew Sams (a.k.a. Pastor Drew), Bel Air Church was founded in 1956, and is one of the city’s largest churches. “Our city is hurting right now, especially with the wildfires and tragedies this past week. With one of the last traditional services on Sundays in the city, the million-dollar organ and choir offer a spectacular worship experience. The Christmas for the City Concert will be coming up on Dec. 9, at 4 & 7 p.m. and is free and open to the public. It will feature the choir, organ, orchestra, band, and much more. Best of all, the offering taken that night will 100 percent benefit organizations in Los Angeles addressing Homelessness: Anne Douglas Center (Los Angeles Mission), Hope Gardens (Union Rescue Mission), Harvest Home, and Habitat for Humanity.
