Beach Lovers: Four Seasons, Intimate and Loving Moments on the Rockaway Beach to Be Exhibited at Rabbithole Projects

Brooklyn, April 11, 2016 (Newswire.com) - Erica Reade, a Canadian-born, Brooklyn-based photographer, renown for her intimate and tender portrayal of Rockaway Beach couples, will present Beach Lovers: Four Seasons, a one-night exhibition at Rabbithole Projects. A self-taught and dedicated photographer, Erica is the founder of Camera of the Month Club, and she has previously exhibited at several art spaces, including Ground Floor Gallery, SohoPhoto Gallery, and the International Center of Photography.

Presented by The Espejo Organization for the Arts, a Bushwick-based arts management organization committed to promoting the artistic endeavors of mid-career and emerging international artists and creatives, this exhibition is part of a series of one night pop-up exhibitions and performances that aim to bring international art practices closer to the audience. “Through these one-night shows, we aim to offer an open and inviting platform where international artists and the public meet. We want to create a more intimate relationship between the creator and the audience and invite them to participate and engage with contemporary art,” said Kika Espejo, Founder and Director of the the organization.

Beach Lovers is a collection of intimate moments shared by couples that Erica has observed and captured at the beach. This series is about the small moments of tenderness between couples, whether sharing a picnic, long laughs, or a lazy limb-entwined nap on a beach blanket. This series illustrates love and sensuality in their purest states.

The Rabbithole Projects Gallery, an art space located on the waterfront of the Dumbo Arts District in Brooklyn, will host Reade’s Beach Lovers: Four Seasons exhibition. “Our goal is to provide the space and community access for these talented artists to share their dreams, visions, and creations with inspired attendees. Reade’s illustrative photographic series of love and sensuality would make a wonderful exhibit,” said Shawn Lyons, Owner of Rabbithole Projects. “As a contemporary art space we pride ourselves on exposing the work of diverse New-York based artists. We are incredibly excited to host such an intriguing photographer.”

Beach Lovers: Four Seasons will take place from 8:00PM-11:00PM, Friday, April 15th at the Rabbithole Projects Gallery in Dumbo, Brooklyn.
