Author Paul T. Dyer's New Book, 'Old School Cool' is a Personal Memoir of a Man Whose Suave Life Was Taken From Him, Leaving Him With Questions.

Recent release "Old School Cool" from Covenant Books author Paul T. Dyer is a deeply personal reflection of his own life. After an accident took him from cool motorcycle rider to stagnant and holed up, Dyer questioned his purpose and found an answer.

Paul T. Dyer, a California native with a love of motorcycles, has completed his new book, "Old School Cool":  a faith-based tale of a man who lost it all and questioned his purpose.

A friend of Dyer's, Tina Chavez, shares, "Old-School Cool: The Life and Times of Paul T. Dyer starts out with a motorcycle journey down the Pacific Coast Highway on a sunny California day. The ride home came to an abrupt stop when Paul took a spill on his bike and had to be transported to the trauma center in Harbor City, California.

"After spending two months in a drug-induced coma, and strenuous physical therapy, he was released from Long Beach Memorial Hospital. Although grateful to be alive, his same ol', same ol' life was wrenched away.

"One afternoon, while sitting in his garage and smoking a cigar, his mind went to a rather dark place. He started to hate that he was alive. For years, Paul was the quintessential alpha male in a smoke-filled garage living a reputation of being 'hip, slick, and cool.' Now he had limited eyesight and short-term memory loss. Everything he had worked for over the past thirty-three years was over and he looked up and asked this question: 'God, why did you let me live?'

"With the love and support of his charming wife, Lisa, her sister Robin and many devoted friends, he pulled through the dark period and came to find the answer."

Published by Covenant Books of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, Paul T. Dyer's new book follows the dark days of Dyer's life in the wake of his accident through his recovery journey and his renewed purpose.

Readers can purchase "Old School Cool" at bookstores everywhere, or online at the Apple iTunes Store, Amazon or Barnes & Noble.
