Art-focused Hotel's January Opening Adds to Columbus' Dynamic Cultural Vibe

Downtown Columbus' highly anticipated new hotel, Le Meridien Columbus, The Joseph will officially open in January 2015 in the city's vibrant Short North Arts District.

Downtown Columbus’ highly anticipated new hotel, Le Méridien Columbus, The Joseph will officially open in January 2015 in the city's vibrant Short North Arts District. With its dramatic cubist architecture, this contemporary hotel will highlight works from Ron and Ann Pizzuti’s personal art collection, which is consistently listed among the top 200 collections in the world. Developed by Pizzuti Companies, The Joseph will feature signature works by local artists as well. Hotel guests will also have complimentary access to the neighboring Pizzuti Collection gallery, which opened in 2013 to great acclaim from the art world.

With its focus on both visual and culinary arts, The Joseph joins the Hilton Columbus Downtown as yet another downtown luxury hotel that celebrates Columbus and builds upon the city's remarkable creative culture in fashion, industry, food and the arts.  Named the No. 3 fashion capital in the U.S., Columbus is headquarters for a long list of the leading international fashion brands, including The Limited, Victoria's Secret, DSW and others.  Two distinctive arts neighborhoods, The Short North Arts District, and the newly emerging Franklinton, are flourishing hubs for arts- and fashion-related commerce, design and creation.  Dozens of thriving galleries and revered arts institutions such as The Wexner Center for the Arts, Columbus Museum of Art and Franklin Park Conservatory add to the city's artistic pulse.

Within this inspired community, The Joseph's many features will shine.  They include:

1. Two-story, amenity-packed lobby: Le Méridien Hub

2. 135 stylish guestrooms

3. 10 Executive Suites

4. Two lavish Spa Suites

5. A grand Presidential Suite

6. 1,200-square-foot, 24-hour fitness center

7. 8,000 square feet of state-of-the-art meeting and event space

Dining at The Joseph will emphasize the culinary arts in Cameron Mitchell’s newest restaurant concept: The Guild House, a 140-seat restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner and highlighting sustainable flavors of the Midwest. The Guild House menu features locally-sourced, artisan cuisine, teamed with exceptional craft cocktails and the finest wines from around the world.

Le Méridien Columbus, The Joseph anchors the new mixed-use Joseph complex, which includes a six-story office building with 60,000 square feet of premium office and retail space, a 313-space parking garage and the Pizzuti Collection.
