An Unlikely Pair Joins Forces To Live Out Their Cinematic Dreams.

Michael Gerald and Ren Leo grew up ten minutes apart in the small town of Marrero, in southern Louisiana on the west bank side of New Orleans, and yet they never crossed paths.

They both were athletes growing up with Leo running track and Gerald a gifted basketball player at St. Augustine High School in New Orleans.

Gerald joined the U.S. Navy and moved away in 1988 eventually settling in Los Angeles, while Leo stayed home and became a rap artist. It wasn't until 2008 that the two were introduced to each other through Leo's brother-in-law, who happened to be Gerald's cousin.

The two found that they shared a passion for motion pictures, Leo, as an enthusiast, aspiring to become a movie producer and Gerald as a writer and filmmaker. Now the two of them are embarking on, The Trail; the pairs first feature movie together.

Gerald will be at the helm as director of The Trail, also written by him, and Leo will be on board as a producer.

The Trail is a horror thriller about two siblings who seek revenge on the small town they blame for the deaths of their parents and sister.

The script has comedic moments within the horror shenanigans, a la "Scream", but Gerald insists he wants to scare your pants off with more suspense than blood and gore.

Leo's Mirror Vision Entertainment and Gerald's Elan Entertainment are the production companies behind the magic. The Trail is slated to be released in winter 2012 and will have its own mobile application so user will be able to have access to behind the scenes footage, status updates, and exclusive interviews with cast members.

Gerald recently completed a feature movie script based on the book called Equal Verdicts. The book covers the Lex St. massacre, the worse mass murder in Philadelphia history.

Gerald and Leo are also set to start development on their second project in 2012, an urban drama called The Price of Respect. The movie will be set in and around their hometown of Marrero, Louisiana.
