Incredible Buddies Sensory Friendly Experience
SPRINGFIELD, Mo., November 21, 2017 (Newswire.com) - This holiday season, Incredible Pizza has decided to give away 30 free passes to our December Incredible Buddies Sensory Friendly Experience. Incredible Buddies is a program created by Incredible Pizza Company with the help of the Arc of the Ozarks, Camp Barnabas, the Down Syndrome Group of the Ozarks and other agencies. The goal is to create a more sensory friendly environment at Incredible Pizza for those with special needs. Since March of 2017, we’ve been working behind the scenes on this pilot program, and we are confident and excited about the results we’ve seen. We’ve decided to open this up to the entire community of the Greater Springfield area.
These events take place on the first Saturday of each month from 8:30-10 a.m. The December event will be hosted on Dec. 16, however. Those with special needs and their families are welcome to come to Incredible Pizza to experience a toned-down game room and facility. Noise-canceling headphones and other assistive devices can be provided to guests at no charge. The crew on duty for these events has received training to learn about the senses that are affected by various disabilities and how those sensitivities might manifest themselves through various behaviors. This is a stress-free, welcoming atmosphere where families can try new things.
The goal is to create a more sensory friendly environment at Incredible Pizza for those with special needs.

At this event, game room passes are available to children with autism and other special needs for $8 the day of the event. They will also receive a complimentary pass for one parent or support staff. Visitors may purchase a buffet for $5.99 per person. Visit incrediblepizza.com/join to learn more.
