Handcrafted in Colorado: Boulder Organic Coffee Stays on Trend
Denver, Colorado, December 9, 2015 (Newswire.com) - Inspired by Colorado’s continuously growing community of organic and sustainable food production and craft coffee scene, Boulder Organic Coffee refreshes its USDA Certified Organic and Certified Fair Trade coffee brand: Boulder Organic Coffee.
Boulder Organic Coffee is devoted to sourcing and roasting craftsmanship in creating the perfect coffee experience by hand-selecting the finest specialty-grade Arabica beans from the top-two percent of the worldwide crop. While organic coffee is a small percentage of U.S. sales, it continues to grow and Boulder Organic Coffee is committed to the extra effort in sourcing from the less than 15-percent certified organic farms.
"Boulder Organic Coffee is so special because it's a reflection as well as the root of our passion with how we handle coffee from crop to cup. It takes longer and it's not easy. We have an extreme and extensive selection process that includes hand selecting, while paying a premium for the coffee beans, going through certification process and hand crafting, We are very transparent in our process by never mass-producing batches, to ensure our customers have the freshest altitude roasted coffee met with unrivaled taste."
Jason Barrow, President and Co-Owner
Defined by initiatives of ethically sourcing, Boulder Organic Coffee features Arabica beans from growers around the globe from only the top organic coffee farms with Fair Trade certification; including ‘Single-Origin’ series imports from Guatemala, Mexico, Colombia, Peru, Honduras, Ethiopia and Indonesia.
The ‘Single Origin’ series features the Co-Owner and Roastmaster, Douglass Barrow’s favorite coffee offerings. “The best thing about high end single origin coffees is experiencing all the varying nuances, aromas, and flavors the different growing regions have to offer in a phenomenal cup of fresh roasted coffee.”
With inspiration from renowned Boulder, Colorado destinations, it was here among the mountains the brand found its calling. The ‘Boulder Blend’ series celebrates Boulder County’s most precious landmarks increasing in elevation with each roast type. Beginning with The Foothills Blend, lightest roast and lowest altitude, then climb into the medium roasted Indian Peaks Blend before summiting one of the highest peaks in Boulder County with the Longs Peak Blend, a dark roast while the signature dark roast Boulder Espresso rounds out the series with a smooth and sweet flavor with hints of cocoa and the perfect smokiness.
Born from the spirit of Boulder, Colo., Douglass and Jason Barrow added the nascent brand years ago to the Luna Gourmet Family with the vision that it would mold into the signature craft coffee in the industry’s booming movement into the ‘Third Wave of Coffee.’
