Ziotag Appoints Distance Learning Industry Leader Thomas Capone to Advisory Board

Thomas Capone, Distance Learning Industry Leader and Executive Officer at New York Distance Learning Association (NYDLA), will provide leadership and guidance to the rapidly growing AI video player company

Ziotag Inc., an artificial intelligence-powered video player, today announces that Thomas Capone has joined its Advisory Board. The distance learning and virtual event industry expert will bring his years of experience to the company's operations, as well as offer day-to-day guidance that accelerates the company's growth.

Ziotag Inc. is a pioneering New York startup, specializing in improving video discovery, search and navigation capabilities. Ziotag's groundbreaking platform leverages AI and semantic web technology to automatically tag and classify content for any video or audio file. The platform automates the tagging and classification process and segments the video podcasts into chapters and sections called "Ziotags," delivering users directly to the relevant moments of the content that precisely match the users' search query.

Joining the Advisory Board, Capone is a serial entrepreneur having founded, built, managed, and sold more than three companies in the voice, data, wireless and wireline services. He specializes in technology-based emerging markets including Audio, Web, Videoconferencing, Voice and managed services. His roles have covered strategy, development, business development and strategic alliances. He has a wealth of sales and marketing experience and is a prolific video podcaster.

Tom brings a deep understanding of the emerging digital work environment, specifically in the areas of online education, communications, and teleconferencing. He will be working with Ziotag Inc. to better understand the consumer and to identify emerging opportunities in the marketplace.

It is more imperative now than ever before for technology innovations to incorporate a focus on video content. The implementation of various different platforms due to a pandemic work world makes the searching and categorizing of video content a new and rapidly escalating need for businesses.

Capone says he was drawn to Ziotag for its exceptional AI capabilities. "Millions of hours of new video and recorded Zoom sessions content are being created every day and this new application has made them searchable and navigable to the benefit of millions of publishers and viewers. I am excited to contribute to Ziotag's mission to transform video consumption."

Jeffrey Paul, Ziotag CEO and co-founder, adds, "Adding industry experts like Thomas Capone to the significant members already on our advisory board validates our vision and lays the groundwork for continuing our rapid, significant growth."
