Wrapports' Grid Magazine Expands Content and Editorial Team
Online, March 26, 2013 (Newswire.com) - Timothy P. Knight, CEO of Wrapports, LLC, the parent company of Chicago Sun-Times, Grid, Splash and more than 40 media and technology properties, today announced the expansion of Grid, the new business magazine launched by Wrapports in February. Grid has entered a content agreement with the Chicago Sun-Times, its sister publication, to provide local business news five days a week. Grid has also added key digital and editorial talent to the team.
The Daily Grid launches in the Chicago Sun-Times in April, providing insightful, actionable business information to Sun-Times customers. Topics will include career, workplace, entrepreneurs, leadership, tech and more. As part of this expansion, Grid hired experienced business journalists with deep ties in the Chicago business community. David Roeder joined the company as a blogger and columnist, and Sandra Guy and Francine Knowles as staff writers. All three reporters joined Grid from the Chicago Sun-Times. Grid also hired Rex Chekal as art director. Chekal joined Grid from Tribune Company's RedEye where he was the iPad editor. The team will work with publisher Brandon Copple to develop digital, blog, video and print content for the Daily Grid, Grid magazine, and chicagogrid.com.
"We are pleased with the momentum that the Grid brand has developed in just under two months," said Timothy P. Knight, CEO of Wrapports, LLC. "Sun-Times readers have responded very positively to the magazine's style of business coverage, and we're looking forward to bringing more of that great content to our daily audience."
The Daily Grid brings a new approach to the Chicago Sun-Times business and career content and will replace the business section currently called Money.
