Workstars Recognise Jon Ingham as Leading HR Thinker

Workstars, a leader in the emerging social employee recognition software market, has announced its working partnership with leading HR thinker Jon Ingham.

The new relationship will see a sharing of knowledge in the form of expert content published on the Workstars' 'Recognition and Engagement blog' by Mr Ingham, who is seen as a leading figure in the influencing of the social recognition conversation.

The driving force behind The Art of HR movement and social 'conversationalist' for employer brand company Glassdoor, Mr Ingham said: “I'm a strong proponent of social recognition and of its differentiation from much of the out dated employee recognition thinking.

“I think it's a shame that most providers have a North American focus and was delighted when I came across Workstars to see a great UK based company emerging within this space.

“Social recognition provides one of the most powerful opportunities available to us to improve employee engagement, and is a sustainable boost to company culture. There has been a long list of different approaches in the appreciation space, many of which have been reward centric. Yet no common approach with a proven ROI has emerged. I believe making the act of recognition a social activity will change that.”

Workstars Founder and Director of Product Development, Jason Harney said: “We have been following Jon for several years and have always enjoyed his insight and vision. He is one of the key HR people who are thinking beyond today, and starting strategic HR conversations.

“The pressure on HR to add value, and adapt to the social workforce of the future, makes Jon’s thoughts and profile very appealing to a company like Workstars. We are thrilled he has agreed to work with us.”

The new relationship includes six blog posts a month that focus on how HR specialists can connect social employee recognition to many of the workforce challenges of today.
