Online, October 27, 2013 (Newswire.com) - What was supposed to be a routine oil change turned out to be a messy problem for one Woodstock, GA resident. "I needed to get an oil change and when I looked online, I saw America's Service Station in Towne Lake had a coupon for $17.95 so I call them up to make an appointment and they took me in right away".
After arriving at the automotive facility, America's Service Station does the routine that most auto repair places do by asking their customer questions about the car and why they are in.
Immediately after his arrival, they started to upsell him on a "discount" package for 6 oil changes for a price of $25. Since the customer had a coupon for $17.95 he politely declined, they proceeded to take his keys and he waited in the lobby patiently.
After about 30 minutes, a couple of guys from the reception area come to the lobby with a tray showing the customer their car's fluids and try to upsell you some more on why they need to be replaced. The customer politely declined their offer and mentioned that he was just in there for an oil change.
After the oil change was finished later that evening, the customer went home. The following morning, the customer dropped off his kid at school as customary and when he attempted to leave the school's parking lot the car turned off. It turned on after but when the car came to a complete stop and then the gas pedal was pressed, the car hesitated. This went on for about a week.
The customer then hired a trusted mechanic to inspect the car and noticed there was a hose that was disconnected. As mentioned by the mechanic, the hose has several clamps and there is no way it just came "loose" on its own. The clamps have to be manually taken off the hose in order for it to come off. This had to be done purposely.
