Women's eNews joins Barclays and Coca Cola to Support Women's Leadership in the U.A.E
New York, NY-Women's eNews is proud to announce its media partnership with the Women in Leadership Forum and award ceremony, held under presidential decree, and taking place on November 23rd - 24th 2011 at the Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi.
The nonprofit news organization joins Barclays, the major global financial services provider, and Coca-Cola Middle East as the latest international organizations to give support to the jointly-hosted 3rd Annual Women In Leadership Forum and Shamsa Bint Suhail Award for Creative Women organized by the French business information group naseba.
The Shamsa Bint Suhail Award for Creative Women, established by decree of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, aims to support the efforts of Emirati women, recognizing their creative talents and expertise. It also rewards those who have delivered an outstanding contribution in building and promoting their community.
Rita Henley Jensen, founder of Women's eNews and its sister site Arabic Women's eNews added "We are proud to play a part in raising awareness of women's contributions to business across the Middle East at an event which brings women and men from across the world together to celebrate their successes."
Barclays currently operates several initiatives aimed specifically at women, including a commitment to promote gender diversity in recruitment campaigns, plus the creation of their very own Women's Initiative Networks and Women of the Year Awards.
The Coca-Cola Company has been working aggressively in its commitment to empower women throughout the world. In 2008, it established its internal Women's Leadership Council to foster a culture that promotes the development and advancement of women as leaders. Their Women's Business Resource Group, called 'women's linc,' was created to provide a community where women can connect and assist each other in advancing their career goals. Overall, the Women In Leadership series has connected more than 1,500 successful, international heads of commerce, inspiring the women business leaders of tomorrow. It features two days of superior networking, inspirational speakers and potential business opportunities.
