WiseWear Integrates RapidSOS Technology Into Smart Jewelry to Provide Enhanced Access to Emergency Services
San Antonio, TX, August 8, 2017 (Newswire.com) - WiseWear, a creator of innovative IoT products, and RapidSOS, an advanced emergency technology company, announced today a partnership to provide WiseWear customers with enhanced access to emergency services. This partnership gives WiseWear customers the option to have a direct data link to 9-1-1 in case of an emergency through the RapidSOS emergency functionality integration into WiseWear smart jewelry.
The key piece of information that 9-1-1 dispatchers need to respond to an emergency, is location. Oftentimes, emergencies occur in locations that are difficult, or even impossible, to describe to 9-1-1, and if the user is unable to speak they cannot get the help they need.
With RapidSOS’ technology integrated into WiseWear smart jewelry, users have the ability to trigger a request for emergency help with the push of a button. After triggering the request, the user is given the option to connect to 9-1-1 via a voice call or say they don’t need help. If the user initiates the call to 9-1-1, dispatchers receive their precise location automatically — making it possible for appropriate help to be dispatched quickly. Emergency contacts are also given the ability to proxy connect to 9-1-1 on behalf of their loved one.
