Wise Buddah to produce Red Room for Virgin.com
Online, August 26, 2010 (Newswire.com) - The Red Room partnership, which is sponsored by car maker Nissan to promote the launch of its new compact crossover Juke, will see Wise Buddah produce around six 'Red Room' music shows per month commencing October 2010. The 4-6 minute shows, featuring the hottest and up and coming bands and artists, will be hosted by Wise Buddah talent Huw Stephens, Laura Jackson, Jon Hilcock and DP Fitzgerald.
Wise Buddah has launched the partnership by filming at this year's V Festival last weekend, where Laura Jackson and DP Fitzgerald interviewed some of the festival's stellar line-up including Paul Weller, Tinie Tempah, Groove Armada, Scouting For Girls, Paolo Nutini, Eliza Doolittle, Plan B and Professor Green.
All content will be streamed on Virgin.com, and will also be distributed through other Virgin platforms.
Bob Fear, content producer at Virgin.com, said: "Music is very much at the heart of the Virgin brand and while the various Virgin festivals around the world help feed the live music scene we also want to offer great content online throughout the year and across various Virgin platforms. The Red Room will be driven by its community - whether our followers Tweet the questions to the artists or even submit their own video reports. Every month aspiring animators will design our idents and up and coming bands can offer their tracks as the opening music. We hope to feature loads of breaking as well established acts and if the weekend's filming at V Festival is anything to go by, it should be great fun."
Russ Williams, head of content at Wise Buddah said: "We're absolutely delighted to be working with Virgin.com and Nissan to champion new music. Combining Wise Buddah's great talent roster - with our video content production experience and studios - ensured we won the pitch to make what will be a great show. We thrilled to have already got off to a cracking start at V Festival."
