Crosley Radio and BHiMG have created a cool no-purchase sweepstakes to add sparkle to the shine. Anyone over 18 in the US can win a custom Crosley turntable by simply filling out an online entry form!
The turntables were hand-painted by sponsor Crosley Radio to imitate the guitar styles of famous musicians and, of course, include a stencil of “Harry” – the mascot rabbit design by illustrator Alex Harman that adorns the LP artwork. With ten custom Crosley turntables up for grabs, the promotions are plentiful: Seven random buyers of the double-vinyl LP will win a custom Crosley turntable, and a CBS Radio and a blog promotion will be offering two of the turntables as well.
“From The Rabbit Hole” is a product of BHiMG, a new independent record label based in New York. Curated over the year it spent looking for its first acts to sign, A&R Shane Galvin felt the Rabbit Hole acts on the compilation deserved increased listenership, even if the start-up label could not sign them all. Label president Dick Wingate and managing partners Christian Cedras and Krista Retto agreed, and the compilation was born! The vinyl, a limited edition, will be distributed in the US and in Canada.
The label intends to create a “From The Rabbit Hole” compilation every year, featuring different cities’ underground acts who currently are under the general industry radar, but whose music and maneuvers prove they are the fast-rising leader in their genre.
