Born and raised in the Buffalo area, Mr. Murphy attended the State University of New York at Albany, receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science.
Mr. Murphy's passion for service, advocacy and the representation of others drove his desire to pursue a legal career. As a result, Mr. Murphy went on to earn his Juris Doctor degree from Albany Law School in 2019. While in law school, he spent his first summer as a law clerk at William Mattar law offices. He cites the experience with William Mattar as an important building block in his professional development, fostering his passion for legal problem-solving. During law school, Mr. Murphy also worked at the New York State Department of Health in Albany as a research assistant in the Division of Legal Affairs, as well as the Albany Law Clinic and Justice Center, where he worked in the Immigration Law Clinic providing pro bono representation and services. Mr. Murphy is admitted to practice law in New York.
