Wikileaf Announces Key Changes to Its Board of Directors
SEATTLE, November 19, 2019 (Newswire.com) - Wikileaf Technologies Inc. ("Wikileaf" or the "Company") (CSE: WIKI) announced today that Connor Cruise, a current member of the Board, has been appointed Chair of the Board of Directors. The Company also announced that Ian Rapsey, Chief Creative Officer of Auxly and co-founder of Nesta Holding Co., has been appointed as a new member of the Board, pending Canadian Securities Exchange ("CSE") acceptance. Chuck Rifici, Chair and founder of Nesta, majority owner of Wikileaf, will step down from the Board to focus on helping the company externally.
“Technology companies such as Wikileaf have been an underrepresented segment of the cannabis sector despite the potential for providing significant value with respect to price comparison, advertising, data analytics and more. As a publicly traded company, Wikileaf will ensure the right leadership is in place in an effort to drive shareholder value. These changes today reflect our commitment to strengthening corporate governance and to position the company for the next phase of growth, including an emphasis on monetization. Lastly, I would like to welcome Ian Rapsey to the Board. Ian's extensive experience at Auxly and Tweed will be a valuable addition to our board and will help guide Wikileaf in the emerging cannabis technology space,” said Connor Cruise, Chair of the Board, Wikileaf.
