What Happens To American Idol Now With new Judges And Idol Auditions On The Doorstep

An insight into the new judging line up of American Idol , and reviews and comments from leading talents in the industry as to why Idol has lost its Popularity. Many Believe books Like "Uberstar" from Dr Vaughn Alaine-Marshall are part to blame.

For remaining judges Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler, the job is to keep the new contestants on their toes and bring the new judges into the system seamlessly.

Once enjoying a huge following these days the rating and viewers are falling away rapidly, with the release of books such as uberstar, a look at behind the scenes scandals and romances of Reality TV shows - A 9% drop off of followers in the last season alone is not a huge surprise most of them within the 18-to-49 demographic a highly sought after group.

Now that actress/singer J. Lo and Aerosmith front man Tyler will join Randy Jackson on the front row for season 10 has finally been released the hope is this will raise viewers'' interest and bring in some talented young hopefuls.

Still the producers would like to look into the crystal ball and see if :

If replacing Ellen DeGeneres, Kara DioGuardi and Simon Cowell with two new entertainment personalities the best way to go or would some real talent scouts have been better.?

Can the show really return to its early top form in casting and create super stars (cue Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood)?

American Idol fans love the cliff hanger Simon Cowell created when pronouncing his verdict - it''s what gives the audience its hit" ,"We''ll see who replaces Simon''s personality. Possibly Tyler can, or perhaps they just don''t it anymore."

Idol will have to take a closer look at the overall presentation , says Newsday pop-music critic Glenn Gamboa. "It could all go horribly wrong and end quicker than anyone would expect, or it may very well be reborn and extend its life for several years," he states. "They''re nonetheless trying to figure out what road it can be taking."

"We are no longer looking for the nations best singer to sing rock," proclaims executive producer Nigel Lythgoe. "We are about to stay with what each contestant is great at."

But in taking this stand, is Idol risking stripping itself of its Aura, proclaims Claude Kelly, co-writer of modern hits for Clarkson (My Life Would Suck Without You) and Fantasia (Bittersweet)!!!

"You push an artist out of their box and you don''t know what you''re going to get," states Kelly, citing Fantasia''s stirring Summertime. "Those are things that make fans really appreciate contestants as well as the new music marketplace recognize the person could be a real expertise."

Presentation is everything when it comes to TV and unfortunately last year they just didn't make it, Is 2010 the year of the comeback or the demise.

The eyes won''t only be on the performers, the judges this year will very much be judged themselves, this creates a whole new dynamic that will sway voters. Maybe we should actually be voting the judges off.

Idol seems to have become more of a sing along then the prestigious reputation it once held.

With stories like Dr Vaughn Alaine-Marshall "Uberstar" (recently featured on CNN) where he reveals how a reality-TV star tells him her incredible experiences during a season on one of the world's biggest Reality-TV shows, what was revealed usually would never see the light of day,due to confidentiality agreements and the such, but uberstar highlights the need for better understanding of what actually goes on behind closed doors. Stories like this make the producers stand up and improve the shows and create a better and more entertaining format than ridicule and humiliation.

J Lo''s deal with Fox is reported to help her expand her very own entertainment repertoire: Her Idol gig comes with a 20th Century Fox film deal.

Otherwise, Lopez claims, she''s eager to put down roots in L.A. with husband Marc Anthony, and attend their 2-year-old twins'' soccer games and dance recitals.

As for Tyler, he was characteristically quiet.

We wonder if Tyler has a good shot at inheriting Cowell''s demeaning style.

"It''s a excellent, bold move," Entertainment Weekly''s Idol watcher, Michael Slezak, says. "What no one can predict now is how these two new judges will do on live Television. Who could have predicted that an Oscar host like Ellen would ultimately prove uncomfortable offering up honest and succinct assessments of talent?"

An additional veteran Idol follower isn't as optimistic. "The reason Idol worked is they took a personality who was not a music star, which is Simon Cowell, and he created an identity," says Bob Lefsetz, writer of the music business watchdog blog The Lefsetz Letter.

"For this show to keep it''s head above water it needs to uncover a new particular person that has a huge personality and presence, and nobody on this panel fits that bill," he says.

Carly Smithson is convinced that having business veterans like J. Lo and Tyler on board will make Idol contestants more relaxed as they come face to face with the judges. We''ll just have to wait and see.

"Maybe this could possibly be a talent competition once again."
