Well: The World’s First Instagram-sourced Lifestyle Magazine

A publication where the marriage of life artistry and savvy insight inspire whole wellness.

Boulder, CO. January 4, 2015 - Well, a recently launched biannual lifestyle magazine, takes a holistic approach to health and wellness by combining life and art in a way never seen before. Thus, highlighting individuals who are making art out of life and sharing it with the world. It’s the first Instagram-sourced magazine to be available in print and digital form. Through the wisdom of experts in the field of wellness of the mind, body, and spirit, Well promotes a healthier, more centered, peaceful community.

While all of the articles found in Well are contributed only by experts, the images are sourced globally from Instagram. There are several ways Instagramers can be included in the magazine. Anybody is welcome to submit samples of their work online, and other pictures are sought out because their subject matter was well aligned with the magazine’s mission. Most of the Instagram artists included have between 3,000 and 800,000 followers. The result has been positive as the Instagram artists were overjoyed to see their photographs in print (many for the first time).

“Happiness, strength, beauty, wisdom -- good health is the foundation that allows these treasures to grow. A healthy mind, a healthy body, and healthy soul. We created Well to give you the best of what we’ve discovered as teachers of natural holistic healthcare. We believe that one of the most important measures of health is a state of peace. When we are at peace, we bring that peace into our communities creating a ripple effect that has the potential to change the world.” explains co-founder Briana Borten.

In the current issue insightful articles, tips, and recipes can be found. Some topics featured are: building a healthier relationship with food through conscious eating, learning to cope with stress through movement, insights to better self-care, and easy to prepare vegetarian recipes. Some notable contributors include Sarah Jenks, who founded Live More, Weigh Less and has been featured in Redbook, Parents, Glamour, and Martha Stewart and Marc David, the founder of the Institute for the Psychology of Eating and author of the classic and best selling books Nourishing Wisdom and The Slow Down Diet, which have been translated into over 10 languages.
