This is the first time Jones get's a title shot, and if things keep going the way they have for him, we could have a new champion at the end of the night. On the other side of the Octagon, Shogun is coming off of a brutal knockout win over Lyoto Machida to win the Light Heavyweight Championship. The problem is that Shogun has not seen action since that fight, while Jones has been very active, and on a serious winning streak. While everyone seems to be ruling out Rua, don't be too surprised if the proven champion finds a way to successfully defend his title. Jones is a very difficult opponent, if not the most difficult, with his unheard of 84″ reach.
