"We recognize that an opportunity like this will be a stepping stone to our desired careers. Six weeks as an island intern at Isla Palenque would not only be a fantastic adventure, but a great learning experience, giving us a unique chance to learn how the power of social media can have an effect on consumers. Our ambition to not only see the world, but change lives, starts with this internship."

A Business major at Saint Michael's College, Shannon has interned at Hospitality Marketing Solutions and Tauck Tours; learning about the Hospitality and Tourism industry while also gaining a respect and admiration for sustainable and eco tourism. Studying abroad in New Zealand, she stepped off the beaten path and experienced the true nature and beauty the country offers.

"My semester abroad stemmed my need to see more of the world; the untouched beauty of New Zealand has created my desire to share and experience real travel, rather than spring break on the beach travel."

Scott is an Economics major at Saint Michael's College. He was a public relations intern at True North Brand Group, where he began applying social media to the professional world through blog posts, Facebook, and Twitter. His love for adventure and travel as well as social media experience encouraged his interest in Amble Resort's internship.

Graduating in May, the two aspire to move to Thailand in October to teach English for a year, but first they wish to use their passion for adventure travel, sustainability, and writing to become Amble Resorts first Isla Palenque island interns.
