Voice Specialist Seasons Ad With The Sounds Of The Caribbean
Online, May 16, 2011 (Newswire.com) - Toronto, ON - Earl McLean calls himself a voice specialist. He works in a world where imagination is stimulated by audio instead of video, every thought is communicated by how he speaks. His control of pitch, volume and speech pattern ,are crucial in bringing ideas to life. Earl likens the process of reading copy to cooking, and says he's seasoned latest project " Reggae 2011-The Hits" with the spices of the Caribbean.
Earl states "when I get into the recording booth, I look to add my interpretation of copy to the meal. The amount of character, or attitude added to a word, is the spice that gives the Ad flavor ". He continues "The producer is usually present via phone or there in the studio, and they are the owners of the project, so I treat them as if I was a chef in their establishment". Earl says that it's not uncommon to have a producer ask for more or less seasoning during recording, and it's a back and forth adjustment process to make the final Advert.
Earl's voice has been chosen as spokesperson by T.V. broadcasters such as Black Entertainment Television as well as Multinational music labels : Universal Music,BMG Music, EMI, and Warner Music. He's been the voice behind platinum selling CD's like "Bump and Grind", Recording Artist "Pink"and "Janet Jackson".
Speaking on Adverts like Reggae 2011, Earl says he likes to bring a heavy hand of Jamaican patois to the table but at the end of the day, "it's the customer who buys the meal, and a smart chef knows to spice it up the weh dem waan it".
Reggae 2011- The Hits will be available in-stores (Canada) and online (Internationally) Tuesday May 17th.
