VMA to Hold Valve Basics Course at Houston Area Safety Council
WASHINGTON, August 27, 2018 (Newswire.com) - The Valve Manufacturers Association of America (VMA) will hold its Valve Basics Seminar & Exhibits Oct. 30 - Nov. 1, 2018, at the Houston Area Safety Council (HASC) in Pasadena, Texas.
The three-day Valve Basics program includes the highly acclaimed “ Valves, Actuators & Controls 101” course, which features 15 individual lessons designed for professionals in the early stages of their careers. End users, EPC personnel, distributors, manufacturers, suppliers and other professionals working with industrial valves will benefit from attendance.
Course attendees will gain basic knowledge of the following: Linear (Multi-turn) Valves, Check Valves, Quarter-turn Valves, Pressure-relief Valves, Actuators, Controls, Solenoid Valves, Control Valves, Valve Packings & Fugitive Emissions, Valve Materials, Critical Service Applications, Electric Actuator Asset Management, Feedback & Monitoring, and Valve Repairs.
The HASC is a state-of-the-art training facility where attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy a popular hands-on learning experience known as the “Valve Petting Zoo.”
