Online, May 21, 2010 (Newswire.com) - Vetress Boyce will mount a campaign for the 24th Ward 2011 Primary Election,

"I'm running for Alderman because my vision for the 24th Ward includes keeping our communities safe, Economic
Development (education, health care, housing, training) Jobs, and putting our families first, while positioning the 24th
Ward to address future challenges. We need legislation to address the needs of those formerly incarcerated. Until we
fix this problem, how can we abonish poverty, drug presence and crime, said Boyce.

Ive consulted with family, elected officials and prominent business and community leaders when making this decision.
Their encouragement further convinced me that now is the time to run.

With the help of my supporters, family and friends, my campaign structure and team is coming together. I'm very optimistic that we will run a strong, energetic and responsive campaign. I intend to be out in the community regularly, talking with Business Owners, Residents, Community Leaders, Faith Based Organizations and Political Officials; exchanging ideas to ensure our shared vision keeps the 24th Ward: "The Ward we all love," said Boyce.

Our Ward needs an experienced leader with a proven track record, a consensus building leader with creative solutions for the problems in the 24th Ward.

o Executive Management Experience-23 year employee Financial Background, contributed to 30 to40 million in sales annually
o Development Experience, one of the 1st black developers in Bronzeville
o Negotiating Skills Team building skills to build effective relationships by all.
