VentureApp Becomes HqO and Unveils Tenant Engagement Platform for Premium Commercial Office Buildings

HqO signs partnership with T3 Advisors to engage portfolio tenants; discusses disruptive proptech at Bisnow event
HqO Mobile App

HqO today announced it has launched its tenant engagement platform for the most innovative commercial real estate professionals. The team that built VentureApp, a business community platform, is behind HqO. The new name – short for Headquarters Optimized – reflects the digital transformation impacting commercial real estate and the focus being placed on tenant community as the essence of the modern workplace.

Digital professionals have transformed every industry and are subsequently impacting the future of work. By 2020, half of all large enterprises will offer some form of co-working options to their employees as modern, connected tenants expect flexibility and an amenity-orientated, community-driven, and tech-enabled work environment. HqO is uniquely positioned to provide landlords with a platform to build community, maximize amenities, and help their tenants succeed in attracting and retaining the best talent.

The CRE space is encountering rapid digital disruption and we see an opportunity to help tenant-focused landlords capitalize on this shift. The WeWork experience has given way to increased tenant expectations for premium amenities, workspace community, and mobile functionality. The timing is perfect for our team to offer smart landlords a platform that will help them build community and provide the best tenant experience across their portfolios.

Chase Garbarino, CEO and co-founder of HqO

HqO’s SaaS platform provides landlords with a mobile app that connects tenants to the building, its amenities, and each other:

  • Improved property utility: HqO integrates with building systems to transform tenants’ mobile phones into a remove control to access building and garage entry, transportation and shuttle options, visitor registration, conference room booking, and more.
  • Maximized amenity offerings: HqO maximizes and procures the best local and national amenities for landlords to offer their community, enabling tenants to pay, claim and RSVP from their phone.
  • Strengthened tenant community: HqO helps landlords to understand, connect, and engage tenants with its community directory, messaging functionality, custom content, shared experiences, interest-based event postings, tenant polls, and more.
  • Unprecedented tenant analytics: HqO provides landlords a better understanding of tenant happiness, community engagement, and the property’s competitive differentiation.

This month, HqO entered into a partnership with T3 Advisors, a commercial real estate firm which works with the tech and life sciences industries. HqO is integrating the firm’s local and national amenities and enhancing the T3 Studio Resident experience by ultimately building a stronger and more connected community, anchored in their headquarters at One Marina Park in Boston’s Seaport neighborhood.

“The commercial real estate industry is reckoning with the demands of the modern tenant who expects strong in-person and digital community, premium amenities, and just an overall exceptional experience at work,” said Greg Hoffmeister, co-founder and managing partner at T3 Advisors. “Simply put, CRE professionals that put an emphasis on implementing a software interface for their property will have an incredible advantage in attracting the best tenants. We view this digital experience and community building for our T3 Studio Resident tenants as a necessity, not just a nice-to-have.”

“The CRE space is encountering rapid digital disruption and we see an opportunity to help tenant-focused landlords capitalize on this shift,” said Chase Garbarino, CEO and co-founder of HqO. “The WeWork experience has given way to increased tenant expectations for premium amenities, workspace community, and mobile functionality. The timing is perfect for our team to offer smart landlords a platform that will help them build community and provide the best tenant experience across their portfolios.”

Garbarino is speaking about the modern, connected tenant and how landlords can meet their expectations for a digital experience alongside executives from Boston Properties, WiredScore, ArrowStreet, and more, at Bisnow’s “Getting Techy With It” event this Thursday, Jan. 18, at 7:30 a.m. ET.
