Utepils Brewing Presents Festival to Support Local Art

Utepils Brewing, the Twin Cities’ award-winning, European-inspired brewery, is giving locals a taste of the 1960s and '70s at this year’s Artepils. Beginning, Friday, July 19, the free, two-day art festival will feature live musicians from the Watkins Glen Summer Jam '73 Tribute, performing rock ‘n’ roll classics from the Grateful Dead, the Allman Brothers and other nostalgic covers from that era.

In addition to a wide range of musical guests, Artepils will include local artists displaying their work, popular food trucks, dancing, tie-dying and refreshing pints of Utepils’ beers.

“Artepils is one of our favorite local traditions,” said Dan Justesen, president at Utepils. “The festival is a great way for friends and family to take a break from their busy schedules to support our area’s local art scene while they enjoy some great music and beer.”

The art festival includes music by the Shotgun Ragtime Band, The Jason Dixon Line, Jimbo's Jones Loves The Band and more. The event will include a special guest appearance from Camile Baudoin of The Radiators.

“Supporting local artists and their inspirational contributions to the community is an honor we enjoy sharing with old friends and new acquaintances,” continued Justesen. “And we’re giving guests the chance to practice their own artistic skills by making custom tie-dye t-shirts to wear the next time they visit Utepils.”

Open to friends, family and neighbors, Artepils will take place at Utepils Brewing at 225 Thomas Ave N. in the Harrison neighborhood of Minneapolis on Friday, July 19, at 4 p.m. and will continue Saturday, July 20, at noon. Admission is free and local art pieces will be available for purchase.
