A recent study was conducted on 427 students at a Greek University. The study entitled "Perceptions towards Online Shopping: Analyzing the Greek University Students' Attitude," was published in a recent issue of communications of the IBIMA, an IBIMA Publishing journal. http://www.ibimapublishing.com

The study provides interesting insights on the online consumer behavior, as the results showed significant differences between those who shop online and those who prefer to go the traditional way. According to the study, online shoppers had higher expectations from online stores on issues relating to privacy policy and risk.

The study reveals that those who shop online do it for the convenience of shopping anytime. Computer hardware & software, travel, and consumer electronics are on the top of their shopping list.
