The Flipchart is composed of either 12 or 16 clear durable, flexible PVP vinyl sleeves spiral bound to a stiff plastic backing. The clear vinyl sleeves are arranged in a staggered tab layout - each sleeve is approximately ½ inch shorter than the sleeve underneath it. This staggered tab arrangement allows headlines placed at the bottom of every page to all be visible at once, making it fast and easy to flip to the page with the desired information. The slim profile of the Flipchart takes up less room than a binder, so it can be stored on a desk or counter. Also, the Flipchart features a hole in back for convenient and highly visible placement on a wall or bulletin board.
Included with the Flipchart is a CD with Microsoft Word 2003 templates for users to enter their personalized content into the pre-designed layout. Several full-color designs are provided, and a template master is included for each page. The template pages include cutting marks to ensure a proper fit into the Flipchart and create an attractive, uniform style. After entering the data, the user simply prints the pages (some are letter-size, some are legal-size) on their printer. No special papers are needed - just print on usual paper stock. Cut the sheets at the cutting marks, and the pages are ready to be easily inserted into the Flipchart's sleeves. The completed digital information is then saved on the user's computer, providing easy access for future changes.
