Two United States Senate Candidates Face Off For Libertarian Party Of Michigan Nomination
Online, June 3, 2012 (Newswire.com) - United States Senate candidate, Scotty Boman, will be competing with rival Erwin Haas for the Libertarian Party of Michigan nomination. Boman was seeking the Republican Party until May 15th, but was a Libertarian candidate for United States Senate in 2008. Haas was the Libertarian candidate for Lt. Governor in 2010.
The Libertarian convention will be held on June 2nd, at Embassy Suites Livonia/Novi. 19525 Victor Parkway. Livonia, MI 48152. The candidates will have a debate at the same location 7:30 PM Friday, June 1st. The libertarian nominee will be on the Michigan ballot in the November General Election. The convention business goes from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
In addition to United States Senate candidates, he Libertarian Party of Michigan will be nominating it's slate of candidates for the 2012 general election in Michigan. The event will be followed, by a Banquet featuring Speaker, Adam Kokesh. Mr. Kokesh is an American activist and has a radio talkshow, Adam vs. the Man in Albuquerque, NM. Kokesh was a Corporal in the United States Marine Corps Reserve and is a veteran of the Iraq War. He is an outspoken opponent of the U.S. military intervention in Iraq and has received media attention related to anti-war protest activities. He is a leading organizer of a veterans' march on the Republican National Convention in Tampa, late August.

Scotty has been a Libertarian candidate in every statewide partisan election since 1994. In 1997, his candidacy for Detroit City Council was endorsed by the Detroit News.
