Tractors & Brews Master's of Taste Salute Roots, Vines & Grains Jeff Myers Art Exhibit Music by Biscuits 'N' Honey
Our annual Tractors & Brews fundraising event is on June 16th, from 6pm to 9pm. The food and beverage tasting attracts more than 400 guests who experience a new art exhibit and artifacts that tell the California Ag Story. This event is an opportunity for the community, members, and donors to mingle with friends, acknowledge regional efforts, and showcase new exhibits in an arena of fine foods, brews, and wines, and enjoy our signature drink.
Woodland, CA, April 4, 2016 (Newswire.com) - Tractors and Brews at the California Agriculture Museum is Thursday, June 16th. Tractors & Brews is the Museum’s annual fundraising event. We're alive with music and masters of taste. Set amongst a backdrop of early tractors and the artistic interpretation of tractor artist Jeff Myers - beers, wines, and distilled grain drinks salute California Agriculture's roots, vines, and grains. Be a part of what is sure to be an exciting evening of dancing, meeting and greeting artists, collectors, and agriculture’s myth makers.
“The evening celebrates a long tradition of agriculture’s summer celebrations,” says Board President Rusty Lucchesi, “I want people to enjoy themselves and experience how relevant collecting and agriculture is to our lifestyle today.” Lucchesi goes on to explain that, “the night will showcase the region’s exceptional, artisans, breweries, distilleries, and winemakers at the most anticipated local food and drink event, while folk and country band Biscuits ‘n’ Honey encourages guests to dance through the aisles of early tractors and steamers.” You’ll hear songs like Circle of Friends, Bottomlands, and Missionary Ridge. Come out to the California Agriculture Museum and party on June 16th from 6pm to 9pm at 1962 Hays Lane, in Woodland! Turn on the first Woodland exit traveling north on I-5.

Just to get started, Asante Catering and Buckhorn are serving hearty tastes. Tri-tips will be smokin’ and carved up. Vines include favorites like Lagunitas, Blue Note, and Carvalho Family Winery. The bar also features a signature drink emphasizing distilled grains. Guests can support the Museum by purchasing a “bottomless” beer glass with endless refills, or make individual purchases to sample beers, wines, and distilled grains.
The Museum is home to the Heidrick Tractor Collection, and the evening salutes tractors and the regions agricultural story tellers. To punctuate the importance of the collection a new art exhibit will be on display from June 16th through the end of July by tractor artist Jeff Myers. Since we’re all about tractors, board member Doug Veerkamp and his son Matt, promise you intrigue with their helicopter rescue story.

"Masters of taste will draw you through an incredible museum space,” explains board member Dan Best, “the museum has everything from giant steam driven tractors, to the belt driven and diesel burning metal wheel tractors." Following the end of the gold rush era, grain production exploded out here in the West. Pioneer farmers exemplified the true definition of innovation and grains became known for more than bread or pasta. Newest board member Vicki Bourn explains that “grain production fueled distilleries” and she knows that you’ll enjoy sampling our latest signature drink at the bar and learn just a little more about grain in our purely country party.
The museum celebrates all facets of agriculture with Tractors & Brews on Thursday, June 16th from 6pm to 9pm located in the California Agriculture Museum at 1962 Hays Lane, Woodland. Event proceeds benefit the California Agriculture Museum while the event congratulates the makers of myth and their success in digging in to cultivate seeds, roots, vines and grains. Starting June 1th tickets are $50 each. Early birds’ can purchase tickets on or before May 31th for $30 (nonmembers) and $15 (members). It’s a no host bar.
