Topline Results Reported In Treatment Trial for Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer By Local Cancer Center

Online, January 29, 2014 (Newswire.com) - Highlands Oncology Group (HOG), Northwest Arkansas' leading cancer research center, recently participated in a groundbreaking study on a new treatment option for non-small cell lung cancer.

The research was administered by Transgene, a French biopharmaceutical company, and Dr. J. Thaddeus Beck, of HOG, served as a local investigator of the study.

The trial evaluated targeted immunotherapy in combination with chemotherapy versus placebo in combination with  chemotherapy, in the first-line treatment of specific advanced non-small cell lung cancer patients, according to Transgene.
