Todd Morse Leaves H2O to Pursue Other Projects Including His Soulful New Band TODDSPLANET

Famed songwriter and guitarist Todd Morse is creating more than just music these days. Just 9 days away, The Second Annual Bowling With Bunnies is one of Morse's exciting new projects. Last year Bowling With Bunnies brought in over 400 pounds of food and enough money to feed 2,000 people in Los Angeles but Morse hopes to do even more at this year's start studded event.

After over 20 years with the influential hardcore-punk band H2O, songwriter and guitarist Todd Morse timed his recent departure with the debut of his most ambitious project to date; TODDSPLANET.

“I grew in a different musical direction. You can’t just fake it in a band like H2O, the fans are so loyal because every song is real and from the heart,” says Morse on exiting the band.

Featuring a danceable rock rhythm section, spirited horn players and a dynamic mix of male and female vocals; TODDSPLANET is a major shift from Morse’s previous track record of gritty punk rock.

“It’s a very soulful kind of vibe,” says Morse, “TODDSPLANET is the first thing I’ve done that’s 100% my dream band […] I like the idea of making people feel less uptight and shaking them out of their shells the way Rock n’ Roll did when it first hit.”

Whether it’s playing his reimagined twist on the classics or one of his feel good originals, a TODDSPLANET show feels familiar and fun for everyone in the audience.

Aside from being the touring guitarist and backing vocalist for The Offspring since 2009; Morse’s other projects include writing and recording with Sum 41’s Cone McCaslin and their band Operation MD, reuniting with actress Juliette Lewis for an upcoming album release and tour with Juliette and The Licks, co-writing and recording the Hollywood Music In Media Award nominated song “Who We Are” featured in a campaign for El Silencio Mezcal and bringing together an incredible lineup of musicians and Playboy Playmates for the Second Annual Bowling With Bunnies in November.

Morse explains the vision behind Bowling With Bunnies saying, “It’s the rebellious spirit of Playboy and Rock ‘n’ Roll combined with the spirit of giving.”

Last year the event brought in over 400 pounds of food and generated enough money for over 2,000 meals to feed the hungry in Los Angeles. Morse hopes to raise even more awareness and feed people with his event on November 19th at Lucky Strike Live with performances by his band TODDSPLANET along with Deryck Whibley and The Happiness Machines as well as special guests including Noodles (Wasserman) of The Offspring, Steve Ferlazzo of Avril Lavigne, Marko DeSantis of Sugarcult and some stunning Playboy Playmates.
