​Adriana, Titanium Event Management, Inc.’s director, stated, “I have always believed in volunteering and helping non-profits. More specifically, I enjoy getting involved with Special Olympics. One of my goals for my team is to participate in more giveback events in the near future.”

“There are so many benefits to volunteering as a team,” Adriana said. “First, you have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of others, which is huge. There’s no better feeling than knowing you’ve been able to help someone or bring a smile to another person’s face. Just from my own experience, I feel rewarded every time I participate in a charity event or help with a non-profit. I love the idea of spreading that joyfulness within my team.”

Adriana noted that to successfully volunteer as a team, it’s important to have an overall plan. “Your team has to agree on what you’ll do,” she said. “There are a lot of ways in which to give back. You can do it through sponsorships or fundraising for an organization. You can volunteer your time to help at an event. You can even collect items to donate.”

“At Titanium Event Management, Inc., our team discusses the different causes we’re passionate about, like animals or children or the poor,” explained Adriana. “Next, we research charities that support these causes. This is really important. You have to be certain that the groups you choose to give back through are legitimate organizations that share your values and ideals. You want to be sure your company name is not tied to anything shady.”

After the charities are selected, Adriana stated that the team creates a philanthropic plan. “We decide what we’ll be doing to help and set goals just like we do for our business,” she said. “For example, if we’re fundraising, we’ll set a dollar amount and identify steps for achieving it.”

“When you make these choices as a team, you get more buy-in,” Adriana concluded. “We want our team members to feel good about helping others and that starts with the planning. While the specific cause might mean more to some than it does for others, in the end, as long as everyone benefits from the experience and we’re stronger as a team, that’s all that matters.”
