'Tis the Season for Fireworks
Honolulu, HI, December 13, 2016 (Newswire.com) - Times Supermarkets is pleased to announce that 9 of its 14 Oahu stores will be selling TNT-brand firecrackers this year. Only customers who have a Hawai‘i Fire Department-approved license can purchase firecrackers of this kind. These licenses are issued from Satellite City Hall and must be picked up no later than December 21st, 2016.
"All of our stores on Oahu, Maui and Kauai will stock what we call novelty items starting December 12th. This includes pop-its, sparklers, and the like, which do not require a special permit to purchase,” said Carlos Baez, from Times Supermarket and Big Save Stores. “TNT fireworks and firecrackers for the islands of Maui and Kauai as well as the firecrackers for Oahu, which do require a permit, will be available at select Oahu stores from 12/26-12/31."

In order to purchase TNT-brand fireworks or firecrackers, customers need to bring a copy of their license with them. “Fireworks and firecrackers are a lot of fun but also can be dangerous,” said Baez, “so we hope that the public is very careful and follows all the instructions provided to ensure that no one is hurt or any property damage occurs.”
