Finally your ready to upgrade your tired old looking wheels from the car of your dreams and you need a wheel tire package complete and ready to install. Consider online resources like tirerack, discounttiredirect to not only shop for the ultimate tire and rim packages. From there you can visually see the rims on your exact car and the selection of wheels is vast. Sincerely the selection for my car was almost too vast and I considered just sticking with my old wheels due to too many choices. I narrowed my selection down to 2 things, lightweight and six to eight spoke designs only. I also knew that I wanted it as completed tire and rim packages and I knew the sky was the limit with this configuration.

Before choosing do a little research on the correct offset that your car requires for optimal brake caliper clearance and to also be ideally snug into the wheel well and not popping too far outside the body lines. Tirerack selection considers this before hand when choosing a make of car. Whether you want a tough looking tire and rim package combo or want that showcar flare, the ideal fit is important. Avoid trips to the local wheel shop without knowing your cars wheel offset.

Once ordered you can specify the shop to mount and balance your tire and rim package, tirerack does an excellent job doing this and only cost a few dollars for each wheel. So upon delivery, you just need to remove the old set of crappy stock wheels (usually) and bolt the new set ( your choice of tire and rim packages) to the vehicle. I bought a set of SSR competition wheels and Yokohama Advan A048 Dot track tires mounted and balanced. I literally was unbolting my stock wheels and jacking up my car when I heard the delivery from tirerack arrive. By the time all the wheels were delivered and in my garage, the car looked as if it were stripped by thugs.

Within 15 minutes I was out and cruising in my what looked to be a new and race ready car (in my head) and I sure made a good choice with my wheel and tire choice and if it were not for online shopping and the ability to see the set of wheels on my car before hand I would have definitely made the wrong choice. The SSR wheels I purchased were second choice though, I preferred the look of the TR Motorsport C1 style, but in my case they were 4 lbs heavier per wheel than the SSR Competition. Ultimately I opted for the lighter wheels since I plan track the car heavily.
