Thomas Parker, M.D. Retires After 18 Years With Renal Ventures Management, LLC
Lakewood, CO, May 12, 2016 (Newswire.com) - Renal Ventures Management, LLC (RVM), a leading provider of dialysis services for patients suffering from chronic kidney disease, has announced that Vice President of Clinical Affairs for Dialysis Tom F. Parker III, M.D. will retire on July 1, 2016. Dr. Parker was the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) for Renal Ventures Management for 17 years before transitioning to Vice President of Clinical Affairs for Dialysis in January 2015.
Dr. Parker is a thought leader in the dialysis community and the cornerstone of the Quality programs that have positively affected the dialysis patients at RVM and within the industry. His influence is vast as he understood the importance of a caring culture. As such, Dr. Parker spearheaded the RV Difference program, which focuses on making a difference in the lives of caregivers, patients, and communities. Dr. Parker completed his nephrology training at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School and became a founding member of the Dallas Nephrology Associates (DNA), one of the largest nephrology groups in the United States. He was the Medical Director of the DNA dialysis program for 30 years and co-developed the Dallas Transplant Institute (DTI). He was named Physician of the Year by the National Kidney Foundation in 1996 and received the Medal of Excellence Award in 2010 from the American Association of Kidney Patients. He is a recognized expert in dialysis delivery, providing consultation and teaching sessions throughout the U.S., Europe and South America.
