ThinkVidya.com Now Helps Trainers Find Students On the Go
ThinkVidya.com, a startup based in Bangalore that helps tutors, trainers and institutes to connect with new students online, has now made it easy for its trainer community to receive new student requirements via SMS.
Online, October 14, 2011 (Newswire.com) - ThinkVidya.com, a startup based in Bangalore that helps tutors, trainers and institutes to connect with new students online, has now made it easy for its trainer community to receive new student requirements via SMS. ThinkVidya.com registered tutors are alerted via an SMS message whenever new requirements posted by students are available.
There is an extensive back-end matching process that matches student requirements with the right tutors and trainers, based on their ThinkVidya profile. The SMS alert is delivered only when there is a matching requirement based on the subjects that a tutor teaches and the location preference of the tutor. The SMS feature is in addition to already existing email based alerts feature.
This new SMS feature has enabled tutors to connect with new students on the go. All they need is a mobile phone, which has been registered in their ThinkVidya.com account.
This feature is currently only available to premium trainers at ThinkVidya.com. A number of trainers and institutes are already using this feature. One of the power users is BTM Music Classes based in BTM Layout Bangalore.
The SMS service is built using the SMS platform provided by TxtWeb by Intuit. The ThinkVidya SMS services can be accessed, by sending "@thinkvidya" to 92433 42000.
