The Ritz London Hosts The Golden Egg For The Faberge Egg Hunt

The Golden Egg designed by Nathalie Priem takes pride of place in the iconic arcade of The Ritz London in support of the Faberge Big Egg Hunt.

The greatly anticipated Faberge Big Egg Hunt comes to London on Tuesday, 21st February, an event that will see the humble egg hurtled into a new record-breaking realm in the name of charity. The Ritz London is delighted to support this charitable event, which aims to raise up to £2 million for Action for Children and Elephant Family, and will showcase a larger than life golden egg along the Hotel's Piccadilly arcade for all intrepid egg hunters to spot.

Rachel Waldron, Project Director for The Faberge Big Egg Hunt commented, "The moment we saw the design for this egg, we knew we wanted it at The Ritz. Its intricate golden details are reminiscent of The Ritz's interiors, with their lashings of gold leaf and famous attention to detail. It is wonderful to have our Egg positioned in such an iconic landmark of this great city where so many passers-by can enjoy it. This is one of our star locations and star eggs - a perfect combination."

Artist Nathalie Priem added, "I am delighted that my contribution to this incredible event will be so prominently positioned within the heart of London. It really is so perfectly placed, glistening alongside the world's most recognisable lights by night. I encourage everyone to take part in this worthwhile event and take to the streets to see each and every one of these unique and extraordinary Eggs!"

The first event of its kind, The Faberge Big Egg Hunt aims to raise vital funds for charities Action for Children and Elephant Family, inviting tourists, locals and visitors to join in a truly magical experience.

Members of the public will be able to hunt down the strategically placed, giant eggs, which have been exclusively designed, bejewelled and decorated by some of the world's leading artists, architects, jewellers and designers.

The event is set to smash Guinness World Records for the most participants in an Easter egg hunt and the world's most expensive chocolate egg, as designed by William Curley.

The hand-crafted eggs, which are destined to become highly collectible works of art, will be available to buy at auction, with proceeds going to Action for Children and Elephant Family. The jewel in the crown of the auction will be an exclusively designed, stunning 127ct emerald and gold egg pendant 'Le Collier Plume d'Or' by Faberge.
