The Push for Change Announces the Push Across Canada

Co-executive directors Joe Roberts and Sean Richardson have announced the launch of the "Push for Change" campaign, where Joe Roberts will push a shopping cart across Canada to raise money and awareness for homeless youth programs.

Vancouver, BC, Motivational speaker Joe Roberts and business partner Dr. Sean Richardson have recently announced the launch of their new campaign "The Push for Change." During this campaign Joe Roberts, a former homeless addict, will push a shopping cart across Canada to raise money for homeless youth throughout the country.

The national trek will start in the spring of 2013 and is expected to take one year to cross Canada, with the vision to engage as many people as possible and encourage people to commit their time, energy and resources to creating a positive impact for preventing homelessness now and for the future.

As part of a build up for the cross-country tour, there will be a 1000km 'pilot' trek from
Calgary to Vancouver scheduled to begin from Calgary July 1st 2012.

"Homelessness, especially among youth is an often ignored issue," stated Joe Roberts in a recent interview. "But it is an issue that the statistics suggest is not one we can ignore any longer."

The latest federal estimate conservatively places the number of homeless individuals in Canada at approximately 150,000, although some sources indicate Canada's true homeless population to be between 200,000 and 300,000. In addition it is estimated that roughly 65,000 young people are homeless or living in homeless shelters throughout the country.

The Push for Change is currently seeking sponsors, donations and volunteers. As it pertains to sponsors, the Push for Change is specifically looking for a transportation supplier, banking sponsor, media/broadcast sponsor, public relations sponsor, health and nutrition sponsor, and an equipment sponsor.
