The Local Palate Presents Whiskey After Dark 2017

The Local Palate, in partnership with Breakthru Beverage, welcomes the world’s top whiskey ambassadors to Charleston for the fourth annual Whiskey After Dark. Sample more than 100 whiskeys, including bourbons and scotches, as well as craft beer and wine at the historic Gadsden House on Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2017.

Pitmaster Rodney Scott will be serving up his acclaimed whole hog barbecue as attendees enjoy live music by local bluegrass artists the Bluestone Ramblers in the venue’s courtyard garden. This year, the annual event features new offerings for non-whiskey drinkers including a craft beer and wine garden, in addition to a mocktail bar serving nonalcoholic cocktails created by mixologist Justin Edgar of Cannon Green.

Doors open for general admission at 7:30 p.m. for an all-inclusive spirit tasting and a barbecue feast. VIP ticket holders are invited to arrive early for a private tasting of top-shelf whiskeys, including Johnnie Walker Blue and Jack Daniel’s Sinatra Select at 6:30 p.m.

And the night doesn’t end there! Don’t miss the after-party hosted by Gentry Bar & Room. The After Dark Party is open to all attendees. VIP ticket holders will enjoy a complimentary, signature Gentry craft cocktail, and late night bites by chef Marvin Woods.

A portion of proceeds will benefit Charleston Animal Society.
