The Karaoke World Championships USA Is Going Big in Texas
Online, May 25, 2014 (Newswire.com) - The Karaoke World Championships 2014 USA (KWC USA) National Finals will be held October 9-11 at The Live Oak Music Hall and Lounge located in the historical Magnolia district of Fort Worth, Texas. The two best Karaoke singers (one male and one female) will win a trip to Stockholm, Sweden to represent the USA at the KWC World Finals on November 13-15, 2014.
The Live Oak's Music Hall is a state-of-the-art room with one of the most modern digital sound systems available. KWC USA discovered The Live Oak through Zak Waddel, a resident of Fort Worth, who is an Oil & Gas Salesman by day and Karaoke enthusiast at night. Zak is also a local celebrity in Fort Worth as he took 4th place on the ABC Reality TV show, The Bachelorette (Season 9). He was a huge asset in getting the National Finals to Fort Worth and he will also be a host at the event.
The first venue to acquire a 2014 Hosting License was Rule 3 in Columbus, Ohio where Tim and Vickie Craft provide the Karaoke. In a recent interview with Vickie Craft, she stated "2013 was the first year CraftworX had the privilege to host the KWC USA competition. During the 6 weeks that we hosted the competitions, our karaoke participation doubled and the competitors also brought their fans along to cheer for them. The competition brought extremely talented singers and most of the participants had never been to the venue before. Our finals night was standing room only, and the ambiance was so electric. Weeks later, we hosted a karaoke fundraiser for our national finalist, which was also standing room only. In addition to bringing attention and profits to the venue, most of the singers told us that being in the competition helped them grow as performers. My partner and husband Tim and I had so much fun and we also learned a lot about promoting the Karaoke venue and ourselves. So hosting the KWC USA competition was a total "win-win" all around for the venue, the singers, the judges and for us! We are looking forward to the 2014 competitions, and are working to make it even bigger this year."
