The I International Media Forum Fourth Estate Will Be Held in Strasbourg in February
Online, January 22, 2012 (Newswire.com) - Forum is supported by the Council of Europe, UNESCO, the Russian Foreign Ministry, the Union of Journalists of Moscow. Forum is also supported by the leading global media, various government structures of Russia, CIS and other countries.
Not accidentally Strasbourg was chosen as the venue for the Forum. Saturated by the spirit of international law, freedom and openness, the Forum participants - journalists, public figures, scientists, artists and businessmen can be involved in open dialogue with each other. Exchange of international experience, analysis of the problems in each state, attempts to address serious issues of civil society - all this will be the subject of vivid and emotional debate.
Program of the International Media Forum "Fourth estate" includes a wide range of issues of concern to the international community and receiving considerable attention, thanks to the media: the impact of media on the international climate, public opinion on the basis of tolerance, dialogue of cultures of different nations, demographic problems of modern society, the problem of preservation of small ethnic groups, cultures and traditions, and environmental security in the world and the media's role in its provision - these are just some of the topics to be discussed in Strasbourg (a full list is specified in the Program of the Forum).
In addition, the Forum will raise issues of legal protection of journalists and the problem of its safety.
The Forum will be attended by prominent journalists, political scientists, major public figures.

This year Strasbourg (France) was selected as the venue for the International Media Congress "Golden Section" and for a number of educational activities including in the programme of the project.
