The First Mermaid Store on the Planet

She has spent many years amongst the humans, learning their ways and accumulating treasures from under the sea to tempt them with. Her new store, Mermaid Shelly's Grotto located at 1837 South Coast Highway in Oceanside, California is the first ever store owned by a mermaid on land.

The Grotto is a collection of beautiful things made by Mermaid Shelly herself and her mermaid friends across seas far and wide. Custom made swimmable mermaid tails are available for those who do not have their own fins or have outgrown their old ones. Mermaid Shelly's Grotto also offers fine clothing, art, jewelry, hand painted swimwear, monofins as well as specialty pirate leather wear and fun items for kids.

The Grotto is so much more than a retail store; it is a beachhead for merfolk amongst mankind and offers an opportunity for artisan mermaids to create their fine goods and offer them to humankind. The space will also be utilized for mermaid workshops (crafts, make-up and hair) and staging environmental events such as local beach clean-up events, guided wildlife appreciation walks and as a community outreach venue for ocean conservation issues.
