Kids Are Heroes recognizes youth for their outstanding contributions to their community and society. Margo was selected for her volunteer contributions and community service. Recently announced as the 2011 International Spokesperson for Believe In Tomorrow Children's Foundation, she is a tireless volunteer for the Johns Hopkins Believe In Tomorrow Children's Foundation, 4-H Therapeutic Horseback Riding Program, and she is the founder of "Recycle For a Reason". At the tender age of 15 she is already a two time recipient of the "President's Volunteer Service Award."
Huffman says volunteering has given back to her by teaching her leadership skills, interview skills, increased confidence and helped her meet new friends and valuable connections. As she competes in Pageants, her efforts to focus attention on the importance of volunteering has been behind the development of her platform: Margo's M.O.D.E.L.S. (Making an Ongoing Difference in Every Life through Service.)
